This international financial services company was struggling with extended software delivery cycle times for one of its data services applications.

Solution

  • Delivered a current state Value Stream Mapping (VSM) service
  • Conducted a future state VSM workshop incorporating improvement opportunities identified during the current state VSM
  • Targeting select improvement opportunities, conducted POC of a self service portal
Results

Through a combination of cross-functional engagement and our objective 3rd party consulting guidance the team accomplished the following:


  • The team created a common language around the software delivery lifecycle of this data services application that did not previously exist
  • Proved that 3 weeks of non-value add elapsed time (i.e. waste) could be eliminated from the end to end cycle time
  • Established cross-functional system wide metrics and objectives to balance their local goals​
